South Hill Park is looking for a brilliant company of performers to join our upcoming production of Disney’s Frozen. Full of humour, adventure and unforgettable music, this spectacular musical tells the story of two sisters discovering the meaning of love, courage and acceptance. With much-loved songs including Let It Go, For the First Time in Forever and Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, we cannot wait to bring the magical world of Arendelle to life.
Who are we looking for?
Alongside principal characters including Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Hans and Olaf, we want to build a strong ensemble who will play a vital role in creating the world of the show. We’re interested in character, storytelling, musicality and your ability to connect with other performers. Whether you’re interested in a principal role or being part of the ensemble, we’d love to see what you can bring to the company. We will be looking for a cast of adults (16+) and a small number of under 16’s to play in a junior ensemble and to take on the roles of young Anna and Elsa.
What will the audition involve?
Singing: For your first-choice role, please prepare the specified song or section as indicated in the audition pack which will be sent to you after we receive this form. We’re interested in both your vocal ability and how you communicate the character’s thoughts, feelings and intentions.
Dancing: You will be taught a short dance sequence at the audition.
Acting: You do not need to prepare a monologue. Instead, we ask you to demonstrate your acting through song, bringing clear character choices and a sense of storytelling to your performance.
Synopsis
Based on the hit Disney film, Frozen: The Musical follows sisters Elsa and Anna, princesses of Arendelle, whose once-close relationship is changed when Elsa struggles to control her extraordinary powers. After accidentally plunging the kingdom into an eternal winter, Elsa flees into the mountains, leaving Anna to embark on a dangerous journey to bring her home.
Joined by the rugged Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven and the endlessly cheerful snowman Olaf, Anna discovers that only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart. Packed with adventure, humour and unforgettable songs, Frozen is a powerful story about sisterhood, courage, acceptance and embracing who you truly are.
