Our historical rooms and beautiful grounds make South Hill Park a popular choice for a wide variety of private functions. We can accommodate birthday celebrations, christenings, dinner parties, wakes, summer balls, Christmas parties, charity balls, music events, comedy nights and cabaret nights.

Whether you prefer the historic and peaceful feel of one of our picturesque rooms overlooking our stunning gardens or want to party the night away in our atmospheric cellar bar, we have the perfect venue for you.

Brand new for Spring 2019 – The Coach House

The Coach House

This is our largest function with space for 200 people standing. It offers a light and airy contemporary space, wrapped in the original Coach House building and adjacent to the main mansion house.

For the theatrical amongst you, there are also our two theatre spaces!

Catering Options

From formal sit down dinners to afternoon teas, premium buffets and BBQs, we offer a wide range of catering options. Good food, professional service and fine refreshments come as standard when you hold your special event within our beautiful 18th-century mansion.

Whether you decide upon a three course meal or our premium house fork buffet, you can be sure of the highest standard of food and service.

Hiring the Cellar Bar

The Cellar Bar is our prime party venue, boasting its own bar area and PA system which can be used to mix sound for live bands. It has its own small stage area for musicians or your own DJ.

Please note: Use of our PA and technical staff will incur additional costs. If you wish to provide your own DJ and Disco equipment your supplier must provide an in date Public Liability Insurance document. This must be presented to us at least two weeks before your function date. The Cellar Bar venue has a maximum capacity of 100 people.

Children’s Parties

Looking for something a bit different for your child’s next birthday party? Fed up of hot, stuffy soft-play areas with over-priced and under-tasty burgers and chips?

We have the answer: a creative arts-based party in our 18th century mansion house is bound to amaze your child, and our reasonable prices and tasty food will put a smile on your face too!

Arty Parties

Here at South Hill Park we can offer workshops with a professional tutor. Choose from ceramics or jewellery making. Please note we do require advance notice as booking of this event is subject to workshop and tutor availability. Bespoke parties and other options available subject to tutor and room availability. If you have an idea of what you would like, please drop us a line and we’ll try to help.

Children’s Party Food

We can also cater for your child’s party for an additional £6.95 per head. Your party food will be ready for you in the Atrium restaurant after your workshop – unless you specify an room requirement which may incur an additional room hire charge.
