Cinema at South Hill Park
Housed in a beautifully preserved room on the ground floor of South Hill Park Arts Centre, we have a dedicated digital cinema specialising in independent cinema. We also show Hollywood blockbusters, family favourites, foreign language films and live streamed theatre for the pleasure of our audience.
With its comfy style and just 60 seats, our cinema is the perfect place to enjoy the very best in film.
Don’t miss our special features: Bringing in Baby, Silver Screenings, Hard of Hearing and Dementia Friendly Screenings.
Live Streamed Theatre and Events
Enjoy some of the most talked-about productions from London’s National Theatre, the Royal Ballet, the Royal Opera House, the Bolshoi and other world renowned performance companies live via satellite at South Hill Park.
Filmed in high definition and broadcast live for one night only, these screenings put you in the best seats in the house – without you having to travel miles and at a fraction of the cost. From Shakespeare to new drama, you’ll experience all the excitement and atmosphere of an evening at some of the world’s greatest theatres.
Broadcasts feature a complete live production, from curtain up to curtain down, plus special behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with cast and crew.
We also show recorded and encore performances for those who are unable to make it to the live screening.
Please book early for live screenings as they are rather popular.

Tickets are £6 and all staff and volunteers coordinating the screenings are Dementia Friends.
