Leave a Legacy

Making a difference

South Hill Park is a place where you can spend your life. A cup of coffee on that first date, then dinner and a show. A proposal in the Italian Gardens, followed by a wedding reception in the Recital Room. A few years later you can visit the panto with your children and encourage them to embark on a journey through the arts. It’s a place that can stay with you for a lifetime.

Remembering South Hill Park in your will means you can help generations come and experience our array of artistic events. A varied programme that uplifts, entertains and inspires – just as you have.

Every legacy we receive – no matter how small – is a lasting gift that will help and enrich others for years to come.

Legacies can also help us to continue our education and outreach projects. This means your gift will have a strong impact on the wider community.

How you can benefit

Gifts to charities such as South Hill Park can help to minimise inheritance tax. All charitable donations are tax free. From April 2012 the government discounted the rate of Inheritance Tax for anyone leaving at least 10% of their estate to charity. Leaving a legacy can be one way of keeping the tax man away from your hard-earned resources, while enabling you to support us without an immediate financial outlay.

We will put any size of gift to good use. Even if you’ve not thought before about charitable giving in your will, please consider supporting us. Your gift will help benefit future generations.

How to leave a legacy

Gifts can come in many forms, from a specific amount of money to a percentage of your residuary estate.

If you are preparing a will you should contact your solicitor for advice. If you already have a will you can make an amendment (a codicil) to include us. Either way you will need the following information:

Charity Name :

South Hill Park Trust Limited

Address :

South Hill Park Mansion,
Ringmead,
Bracknell,
RG12 7PA

Charity Registration Number :

265656

We will respect your wishes if you would like to remain anonymous. Letting us know that you are considering a legacy will help us to plan ahead for the future of the Arts Centre. It will also give us a chance to thank you personally.

We understand that this may be a sensitive matter, so we will treat any inquiries in the strictest confidence.

To discuss leaving a legacy please call +44 (0)1344 413 515.
