Teechers

Three actors. One school. One unforgettable show.
When Salty, Gail and Hobby arrive at a struggling secondary school, they’re determined to put on a play that will prove there’s more to their school than meets the eye. But as they take on a whole host of teachers, pupils and parents, the line between reality and theatre quickly begins to blur.

Written by John Godber, Teechers is a fast-paced, hilarious and sharply observed comedy about education, ambition and the power of theatre to change lives.

With just three performers playing an entire school, Teechers is a whirlwind of characters, accents, physical comedy and theatrical imagination. Behind the laughs, Godber asks some big questions: What happens when young people are given the chance to be heard? Can creativity really make a difference? And what happens when the people who are supposed to inspire us are struggling themselves?
Following BAM Productions’ commitment to creating exciting opportunities for emerging performers and bringing accessible theatre to Berkshire, Teechers is a bold, energetic and brilliantly funny celebration of school life — and the transformative power of putting on a show.
Three performers. Countless characters. One school play you won’t want to miss.
