Arts and Crafts Bringing Us Together

While at home, either working remotely or in self-isolation, join us in a new creative project to bring the community together, and create a piece of art with ‘home’ or ‘home for the arts’ in mind.

We want to collect work from all ages to create a big display at the Wilde Community Gallery to celebrate the fantastic creativity in our community to welcome everyone back to South Hill Park.

The work needs to be 10x10cm or 4x4inch and able to be attached to a wall. We are also planning to use some digital displays as well, so you could create a video around 30 seconds long, in MP4 format.

Some ideas for art forms you can use are;

  • Knitted
  • Crochet
  • Stitched
  • Ceramic tile
  • Drawing
  • Painting
  • Print
  • Photography
  • Lino cut
  • Collage
  • Mosaic
  • Animation
  • Vlog
  • Or anything else you want to create.

When you are able please post to us, or drop in to our Box Office into the perspex box labelled ‘Arts and Crafts Bringing Us Together’. The deadline for entries is 1 September. Please send all video files via wetransfer.com to loucia.manopoulou@southhillpark.org.uk and creativelearningshp@icloud.com

Our postal address is South Hill Park, Ringmead, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 7PA

We are all in this together.

Take a look at some of our fantastic entries:

the perfect opportunity to sell some of the “card” art work we have been submitting to raise funds would be at the festival of food and music coming up soon. presumably you have organised a stall to display these wonderful entries to the largest crowd of the year potentially. if not, do not miss this golden opportunity just because it’s not necessarily food themed, although i’m sure some of the work is. you may not attract a crowd of that size to an exhibition alone and it’s too good a chance to miss. Hi Rosemary, I believe some of the artwork is already on display in the Wilde Community Gallery and will be highlighted during our Craft Fair in November. Thank you.
