Retired cook Ruth experiences confusion while preparing familiar dishes. When she and her ‘unrecognised’ son, visit an assisted living facility, Ruth must contend with her conflicting relationship with herself and her caregivers amidst her shifting memory, age identity, and desires.

We observe Ruth’s experiences predominantly through her own eyes rather than those around her, (thus granting) her a degree of respect, which is all too frequently missing when it comes to depictions of the elderly SCREEN DAILY
