We are really pleased to share the fantastic news that South Hill Park has been awarded a grant as part of the Foyle Foundation’s final funding round.
The Foyle Foundation was established in 2000 as an independent grant making trust to distribute grants to U.K. based charities (primarily arts and learning) and schools. The Foundation’s long planned spend down and closure takes place in December 2025 by when it will have distributed over £180M in total, including a number of legacy projects with long-term benefit.
Our grant was for £20,000 to be spent on theatre equipment, and Tony and his team has had the pleasure of purchasing and installing a brand-new lighting control desk in the Wilde Theatre with the funds. Along with this, Tony was able to purchase new digital microphone equipment.
Thanks to the Foyle Foundation, we have been able to replace failing, end-of-life equipment with new tech which will give all our productions much more reliable lighting and sound.
