Summer Project 2024 (6-11yrs)
A musical theatre workshop week
The ultimate action-packed week of musical theatre workshops, ending in a showcase performance in the Wilde Theatre, with professional lighting and sound rig. Participants aged 6-11 years will learn new skills, build confidence and form friendships. Patricipants will have four days to learn a selection of songs from comtemporary musical theatre, with set choreography and linked together with mini scenes. Perfect for young thespians wanting to hone their craft this summer and live out their musical theatre dreams.

Originating as an interval performance during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, Riverdance has gone on to become a worldwide phenomenon. This 25th Anniversary production is a powerful and stirring reinvention of the show, celebrated the world over for its Grammy Award-winning music, thrilling energy and its passion for Irish and international dance. See the close-ups, the amazingly fast feet, the expressions and emotions of the dancers and musicians, with creative camera angles that show the work more intimately and revealingly than is possible for an audience sitting in the stalls.
The Festival of Food and Music 2024
Celebrating 75 years of Bracknell New Town
Held in the glorious grounds of South Hill Park Arts Centre, with food to tickle the taste buds and tunes to bring music to your ears!
The festival will feature live music performances by both local community and professional artists, including sing-along headline performances as well as an array of popular family activities, craft and food stalls and an interactive puppet show.
Entry is FREE, but please note stall holders will charge for food, drinks, crafts and activities.
South Hill Park is asking all visitors to think green this year. For those who can, please walk, come by bike, bus or car-share to reduce your environmental footprint. This year, there is dedicated Festival of Food and Music parking provided on North Lake, which can be found directly opposite South Hill Park Arts Centre. You can book your parking tickets in advance for a reduced cost, or pay on the day. Please see below for more information and on how to pre-book tickets.

Theatre
We are delighted to announce that Paul Toulson, aka Fairy and Nanny Moppins from South Hill Park’s 2023 Pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, returns for a 4th year in Robin Hood and the Magic Arrow. Tickets available to book here. Toulson is magnificent – West End Best Friend
Art
Mick McNicholas, our fantastic life drawing tutor, will be exhibiting a portrait painting ‘Not Everything’s Black and White’ of his mother, with the Proseed Collective, in the Palazzo Bembo, as part of the Venice Biennale. Congratulations Mick! On show until end of November 2024.
Music
Please note that Atomic Rapture: The Music of Blondie, has been moved to 3 July. With an extensive playlist of Blondie tracks spanning the 70s to the present day, award-winning tribute band Atomic Rapture are pleased to return to the Cellar Bar. To book tickets, please go to our shows and events page. One Way or Another their show is not to be missed!
Food
The Atrium Bar and Restuarant has a new restauarant menu as well as a ‘Treat your Dog’ menu with dinner bowls, snack pots, dog treats and dog ice-cream available for your furry friends. The updated menus are available to view on our website.
Bracknell Together Walk 2024
South Hill Park Trust, is delighted to announce the Bracknell Together Walk 2024 on Sunday 30 June.
This is a fun walk for the community, starting and finishing at the South Hill Park Mansion House. There’s a route for everyone, whatever your age or ability. Bring your pets, come in fancy dress and get your face painted for free! It’s a fantastic opportunity to raise money and win large cash prizes for your cause, whilst getting some healthy exercise with family and friends in delightful surroundings.
One of our Trustees, Mike O’Donovan is taking part and kindly raising money for South Hill Park. Why not choose South Hill Park as your good cause? We’d love to see you at South Hill Park on 30 June.

Local Primary Schools art competition 2024
In celebration of 40 years of the Wilde Theatre, we are delighted to announce an art competition open to local primary schools for pupils at Key Stage 2 (years 3-6). There will be space for 25 pieces of artwork (A4 size paintings or drawings) to be displayed in our Community Gallery. Schools should register their interest by Tue 28 May.
Donate your first fiver
Why not use your first fiver to support our charitable outreach at South Hill Park? The first King Charles £5 notes will be released on 5 June 2024. His Majesty is, famously, a lifelong supporter of the arts. You could pop it into our Donation Station, situated in the foyer of the Wilde Theatre, or in one of the collection pots at Box Office. You could even donate a fiver online. What a great way to celebrate our monarch’s new reign and support your local art centre.
