Jack and the Beanstalk has been nominated in The UK Pantomime Awards 2023
We are delighted to announce that South Hill Park’s 2022 pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, has been nominated for two awards in the Pantomime Awards 2023.
The nominations received are for Best Set Design by Victoria Spearing and Best Script by Joyce Branagh. We are extremely proud of the whole team behind Jack and the Beanstalk and couldn’t have done it without our amazing audiences.

50th anniversary throwback
We recently received some amazing show posters from the last 50 years given to us by our Painting and Drawing tutor.
We love how artistic and abstract they are and are amazed by how much poster designs have changed over the years.
Do you have a favourite memory of South Hill Park? Please send a photo and short description to anna.seymour@nullsouthhillpark.org.uk.
Please note, these will be shared in celebration of our 50th anniversary.

New exhibitions To the Woods and Residual
We have two new and exciting exhibitions here at South Hill Park, running until Sun 30 April – To the Woods and Residual.
Sandra and Martin Bright are local artists who are both fascinated by Swinley Forest, which they have continued to paint and draw for a number of years. Take a look at their imaginative interpretation in To the Woods displayed in the Mirror Gallery.
MA Fine Art Farnham Group Show displays a series of contemporary artworks in Residual, responding to South Hill Park Arts Centre’s site, history, architecture and visiting audiences.

Bridge project – Movement for Schools
Our next exciting launch of the Bridge Project is Movement for Schools – a fun and easy-to-follow dance series, one on the Four Seasons and one on Gravity.
Our talented choreographer and dance teacher, Charlotte Steele, has created a collection of dynamic and engaging routines that incorporate the unique characteristics of each season as well as the Earth, Moon and Sun. Visit our SHPatHome YouTube channel to find these videos.

Age concern Printmaking Workshop
This short video is a lovely example of the type of charitable work that South Hill Park is able to undertake within the local community.
This printmaking workshop was the first of five experiences provided in partnership with Age Concern; the others being silversmithing, a cinema trip, an embroidery taster and culminating in a trip to our fabulous Easter show, Kinky Boots.
Thank you to Bracknell Town Council for their generous funding and all of you who support South Hill Park with your donations.

Bodies of Water exhibition preparation
Students from King’s Academy Binfield visited Bracknell Fire Station to learn about water safety ahead of creating their art works with artist Hermione Thomson, which will be displayed in an exhibition here at South Hill Park.

Summer School 2023
Join us for a Summer School like no other from Mon 24 July – Sun 6 Aug.
This year, students will work towards bringing a full-blown production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Teen Edition) to life. Performers will be guided by a pro-team to unleash their singing, dancing, and acting skills, while forming new friendships and lifelong memories. Technicians will learn all the essential skills required to be a theatre technician, with hands-on experience as well as practical knowledge.
For more information and to book, visit our website. Performers course can be found here and technicians course here.

Celebrating George Michael and CATS in SPACE are on sale now.
Featuring the acclaimed Steve Mitchell, Celebrating George Michael, on Fri 26 May, focuses on a more mature and seasoned style that George brought us.
Imagine a heady mix of Queen, ELO, Elton John and all things 70s… then you have CATS in SPACE coming here on Thu 20 July – a band brimming with majestic songs, power chord guitars and huge, symphonic keyboards.
