Kinky Boots – Assistant Director and Assistant Choreographer

South Hill Park is looking for an aspiring director and choreographer to work on our Easter 2023 production of Kinky Boots. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a professional creative team and obtain hands-on experience.

Assistant Director:

– To mark up a script with up-to-date blocking notes
– To operate backing tracks in rehearsals
– To assist the director in the smooth running of rehearsals
– To run blocking recap sessions
– To update and maintain the rehearsal schedule according to the creative teams needs and communicate it to all relevant parties
– To maintain an accurate rehearsal record
– To work closely with the DSM
– To maintain an accurate record of the props required for the production and share it with the head of props

Assistant Choreographer:

– To maintain accurate choreography notes
– To record rehearsal footage and share with the cast for home study
– To run dance warm ups
– To deputise for the choreographer as/when required
