‘The social distancing at this was amazing; lines and rows of seats physically removed to keep all groups apart with a fantastic one-way system and oodles of sanitiser everywhere. It was lovely to support a local production and the cast were insanely good.’ – Louise, Facebook
Wednesday 26 May marked the first live performance in the Wilde Theatre in 2021. South Hill Park was delighted to safely welcome back audiences for an evening on comedy with the popular The Comedy Cellar in the Wilde, and then for a successful run of Alice in Wonderland – A Magical Musical Adventure from Wed 2 – Sun 6 June.
For both events, audiences were greeted by our friendly and helpful Front of House staff and volunteers through a socially-distanced queuing and one-way system.
Anyone who wanted to enjoy a drink during the performance was able to pre-order their pre-show and interval drinks, which were easy to pick up from the Tall Hall.
It is wonderful to see the Wilde stage light up once again, and audience members enjoying performances in our socially-distanced seating plan. We look forward to continuing to welcome you back for the rest of our summer events.
