Rave Reviews Roll In For Dick Whittington And His Cat

December 14, 2018

A cracking script from Joyce Branagh gave director, Adam Stafford, so much to have fun with and, boy, with his fantastic cast and extraordinarily creative production team, did they have fun.”

“This show packed to the brim with songs, dancing and laughs, certainly lit up the faces of the exuberant audience on the night I watched from a front row seat, but the energy coming off the stage, could have lit up all of Bracknell.”

“…this is pure panto gold – high energy singing, dancing, panto patter and audience participation.”

“Staging, as always, was spectacular. South Hill Park does not have the facility to use cloth sets, so they get creative … really creative. The 3D design are exquisite and this year’s was no exception…Designer Victoria Spearing and her team are phenomenal and it’s their ambition that make this show so unique.”

“Dick Whittington is South Hill Park’s best pantomime for years”

“The star of the show has to be Rebecca Ayres as Tabby The Cat. Her movements were graceful and delicate, just like a real moggy, while having energy, wit and charm. It is a demanding role, especially taking part in high tempo action scenes while eating a sandwich. She did so with aplomb.”
