The mince pies have all been eaten, the decorations are coming down and the chill of frost is still in the air… January is well and truly upon us, and with it we have waved goodbye to South Hill Park’s record-shattering pantomime: Beauty and the Beast. We have received some brilliant reviews and praise from critics and audience members alike, so best to book your seats to South Hill Park’s 2018 pantomime, Dick Whittington and his Cat while you still can!
“The glorious costumes and intricate scenery courtesy of Rebekah Shirley and Victoria Spearing and their teams were top notch, with a clever cylindrical wraparound staircase and movable enclosures highlighting how the uglified Beast was isolated and alone.
“Optical illusions, puppetry and gargoyle trickery kept up the surprises, while the Beast himself was an extraordinary creation. Director Adam Stafford ramped up the colour and fun, bringing out the emotion and drama (and of course the fun bits).” – The Henley Standard

“The cast are all talented and work well at interacting with the audience. Faye Ellen is exceptional as Belle, and Brad [Clapson] ha[d] some good gags…
“Also important to mention are the young cast of dancers who add so much to the scenes.” – The Wokingham Paper
