South Hill Park has been shortlisted for The Lexicon’s Charity of the Year 2018. A partnership with Bracknell’s brand new shopping and leisure centre will have a significant impact on the Arts Centre’s local and regional profile and ability to raise much needed funds as we look to new sources of income following funding cuts.
For over 40 years, South Hill Park has had a positive impact on the health and well-being of Bracknell residents, including those living with dementia, Parkinson’s and depression. We support our community through learning and performance opportunities for all ages including local schools. Young people who engage in the arts are 78% more likely to excel in their studies and children from low income backgrounds are three times more likely to get a degree. As a not for profit organisation, we rely on funds to deliver our diverse programme including outreach projects with local schools, dementia friendly cinema screenings and an arts programme for vulnerable and at risk young people and adults.
