Show Synopsis:
Full of sex and fury, east is a sharp, affectionate and funny expose of life in London’s East End. With its uncompromising physical performance style and its rich poetic language veering from Shakespearean parody to the shatteringly profane, it is a rollercoaster of gripping theatricality, teeming with both visual and verbal exuberance.
Written from Berkoff’s personal memories and experiences in the East End of London, East is a testament to youth, energy, and a time of life that knew no holding back or reserve.
The performance contains extremely strong language and references that may offend and is suitable for over 16’s only.
This is a wordy and physical show.
