Cinderella Cast Announced!

Oh, yes they are! We are truly delighted to announce a fantastic line-up for our 2016 pantomime production, Cinderella! Glass slippers, pumpkins, wands and magic at the ready, we’re in for the most enchanted pantomime yet! What are you waiting for? Meet the cast below – and there might just be a familiar face in the mix…

Rose Crawforth

Our Cinderella Rose is originally from London and studied at the prestigious BRIT School for 2 years before completing a degree in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Whilst in training, Rose appeared in several musicals including ‘Ruthless’, ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ and ‘Grease’. Rose has also performed at venues such as The Criterion Theatre and was chosen as a lead vocalist for BBC Radio 2 as part of ‘Friday Night is Music Night’. She most recently appeared as a lead vocalist/dancer for a Theatre Company in Norfolk and in a Concert called ‘West End Old and New’ featuring Wendi Peters and other west end performers.

Steve Banks

Playing Prince Charming is Steve, who grew up in Dover, Kent. Steve began performing at the age of 12 with his local amateur dramatic group and at his school, where he played the role of ‘Jesus’ in Godspell, touring at first in the U.K. before heading off to Croatia. Since then, he has performed in various musicals, such as Sweeney Todd, Oliver, and Phantom of the Opera, that sent Steve off round the world to places such as Belgium, Siberia, and the USA to perform. Steve completed his grade 8 in singing, as well as training in jazz, commercial, and contemporary dance.

Steve attended the University of Northampton in 2012, studying BA (Hons) Acting graduating in 2015 with a first class degree when he won the university’s prestigious ‘Best Actor’ award. Since graduating, Steve has been performing in musicals and Christmas pantomimes, puppetry and mask shows, as well as touring with educational theatre productions, recently heading oversea to Italy. Steve is very excited to be playing ‘Prince Charming’ in this year’s Cinderella.

Jessica Niles

Fairy Godmother Jessica graduated from University with a Musical Theatre Degree and has been acting professionally since the age of 16.

Credits include: Bertha in ELEGIES FOR ANGELS, PUNKS AND RAGING QUEENS (Charing Cross Theatre), Honeysuckle in DREAM FAIRIES (The Australian Shakespeare Company/Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew), Beauty in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Belgrade Theatre, Coventry), Miss Hannigan in ANNIE JNR (Arts Theatre, West End), Liz in DANCE CLASS (International Tour/Vienna English Theatre), Mary in THE PERFECT CITY (UK Tour), Flo White in FLO WHITE AND THE 7 DWAGS and SMOKEY JOES CAFE (Minack Theatre, Cornwall).

Jessica has also filmed a number of TV supporting roles and was a lead vocalist on Channel 5’s DON’T STOP BELIEVING. Jessica is delighted to be playing the Fairy Godmother this year and would like to give a huge thank you to her family and friends for all their constant support.

Brad Clapson

Our other Ugly Sister is Brad, who is so happy to be returning to his hometown and his favourite theatre! He is very happy to put on his heels and wig again to play one of the ugly sisters!…His dad is very proud!

Kristian Cunningham

Kristian plays Buttons, Cinderella’s friend, and he graduated last summer from the Urdang Academy.
