At the end of January our talented in-house team will bring internationally acclaimed One Man, Two Guvnors to the Wilde Theatre stage. Made famous by British comedian James Corden, One Man has been hailed as ‘the funniest show on the planet’ by the Daily Mail.
Francis Henshall has been fired from his skiffle band and so becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe. What he doesn’t know is that Roscoe is really his sister Rachel, posing as her own dead brother – who’s been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Francis jumps at the chance to earn some extra cash and also takes a job with none other than Stanley Stubbers – but to avoid being found out, he must keep his two guvners apart.
One Man runs from January 26 until January 30 in the Wilde Theatre.
Things turn a little darker in February when musical extravaganza Sweeney Todd bursts onto the stage. This blood-thirsty tale of love and revenge (and suspect meat pies) will have you on the edge of your seat. This musical hardly pauses for breath.
Benjamin Barker was a kind and loving father with nothing but love in his heart until a jealous Judge punishes him for a crime he did not commit and sends him off to Australia.
Barker returns as the transformed Sweeney Todd. Todd has an insatiable hunger for revenge against those who separated him from his wife and child… not even Mrs Lovett’s meat pies can curb his appetite!
Sweeney Todd runs from February 10 until February 13 in the Wilde Theatre.
