Musical Gems at SHP this Winter

December 1, 2015

South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell is full to the brim with plenty of music and entertainment this winter, bringing plenty of festive sparkle and cheer as we countdown to Christmas!

BRIT-Award winning singer Beverley Craven became a household name in the early 90’s with the release of her eponymous debut album which became a worldwide hit, selling more than two million copies. Beverley Craven is looking forward to performing a special concert at the Wilde Theatre in support of her recent album, Change of Heart. She will perform her new songs, alongside classics Promise Me, Holding On, Woman To Woman, Love Scenes and many more!

Carrying through that BRIT-Award winning theme, classic trio BLAKE return to the Wilde Theatre stage bringing with them a special line up of festive classics we all know and love. This two hour stage spectacular promises an elective range of yuletide songs taken from their debut Christmas album that was released UK-wide on 9 November. Since the group was formed, they have appeared on many TV programmes including This Morning, The One Show and Songs of Praise. More recently, BLAKE have just recorded a rendition of the beautiful classic The Christmas Song with none other than Dame Shirley Bassey herself. You can hear this on their debut Christmas album!

SHP have not one, not two but three outstanding tribute acts that will be calling the Wilde Theatre home, each for one night only. Platinum ABBA return, described by the Evening Standard as ‘better than the original’ the breath-taking show has to be seen to be believed! You can relive the magic of Take This performed by one of the UK’s most celebrated tribute acts, Take This. With 25 years of chart-topping hits, it’s a night you certainly won’t forget! GA GA, a Queen Tribute act will also be making their way to SHP, as party of their 20th Anniversary tour. The show will be jam packed with all the massive Queen hits, spanning right across the legendary band’s back catalogue.

Following the huge success of last year, the Soul and Funk Christmas Party will be back in the Cellar Bar, featuring some of the best musicians and singers around, performing classics that will you up on those feet, including ‘Car Wash’, ‘Lady Marmalade’, ‘We Are Family’ and more.

Booking in advance for all is highly recommended! Happy Christmas!
