Throughout this autumn, South Hill Park will be hosting a huge array of cracking musical events that kick off at the beginning of October.
The season’s start sees world-class duo Simon Mayor and Hilary James returning to SHP with their fantastically unique combination: Simon’s inimitable brand of off-the-wall humour as well as mandolin, guitar and fiddling wizardry meets Hilary’s ‘honey-dripping’ vocals and unusual basses!
‘Local Living Legends’ Rage Rebellion are back in the Cellar Bar with a fresh setlist from UnderCover Festival, and are previous popular headliners at SHP’s Affinity Festival! Joining the event as warm up acts are Kingston’s Emergency Bitter who are appearing at Rebellion 2015, and the brilliant ‘one man Buzzcocks’ Phil Black, performing his original material.
Dan 2AS Fantasticas will be taking up residency in the Recital Room for one night only with The Lyric Guitar Trio on Saturday October 10. Sit back, relax and experience a serenading ranging from works of Schumann, Holst, Segovia and more, from three of the country’s most recognised and respected guitarists: Raymond Burley, John Mills and Cobie Smit.
Join Artree Music for Artree Live, an evening of the best local, national and international folk, roots and acoustic music from some of the best up and coming established acts in those genres!
Transport yourself to the smokey, hazy days of howlin’ blues with Will Killeen’s unmissable Cellar Bar gig. Influenced by The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Howlin’ Wolf to name a few, Will’s unique-blues guitar style shares influences from a huge array of genres from country and Celtic to rock and eastern music.
