Get ready for Guitar Fest!

Featuring some of the top guitar players around, Guitar Fest is back for 2015. Taking place over the bank holiday weekend (Saturday 23 – Sunday 24 May) there will be performances from many artists including Oye Santana performing a tribute to the legendary Carlos Santana and Small Strings Ukuele Band.

A full list of the weekends schedule below:

Oye Santana + Support – Small Strings Ukulele Band

Saturday 23rd May, Wilde Theatre, Starts 8pm, Tickets £15.00

Oye Santana are the leading Carlos Santana tribute band in the country with support from Berkshire based ukulele band Small strings playing classic hits and more

Clive Carroll + Support: Rory Evans

Sunday 24th May, Wilde Theatre, Starts 8pm, Tickets £15.00

Clive Carroll is one of the leading acoustic guitarists in the UK who has performed worldwide including a recent tour of the USA with Tommy Emmanuel.

Branco Stoysin

Saturday 23rd May, Recital Room, Starts 6pm, Tickets £7.00

Highly rated guitarist Branco Stoysin performs a mixture of jazz, classical and traditional folk songs of former Yugoslavia.

Roland Chadwick

Sunday 24th May, Recital Room, Starts 6pm, Tickets £7.00

Musician composer, teacher Roland Chadwick is a prolific performer who embraces most styles of music from classical – blues and everything in between.

Jazz Guitar Workshop

Saturday 23rd May, Recital Room, 2pm – 4pm, Tickets £20.00

A chance to develop existing skills or embark on a new style, not suitable for absolute beginners but everyone else is welcome, spaces limited.

Clive Carroll Guitar Workshop

Sunday 24th May, Recital Room, 2pm – 4pm, Tickets £20.00

A chance to learn from one of the best guitarists around, not suitable for absolute beginners but everyone else is welcome, spaces limited.

Acoustic Stage

Saturday 23rd / 24th May, Atrium, 12 noon – 6pm, admission free

Performers so far confirmed include :- Oka Vanga, Garry Smith, Steve Gower, Andy White, Paul Wilson, Richard Lee, Michael Tuffery, Morrison, Karmilla, Nick Tann, Emma J Kennedy & Bruce Neil

Upper Wilde Stage

Saturday 23rd / 24th May 2pm -7pm, admission free

New stage just introduced with a wide selection of acts to be announced.

Korg Music Stand

Korg Music will have a stand throughout teh festival demonstrating Takamine guitars and Vox and Korg guitar products.

There are workshops, an all-day acoustic stage profiling some of the best up-and-coming talent and stalls. This is a must for all guitar players and music fans and will cover all styles including jazz, rock, blues, classical and everything in between.
