Alice in Wonderland audition call

March 6, 2015

Screen Shot 2015-03-06 at 10.18.17

Audition call for actors and musicians for Alice in Wonderland At South Hill Park

We are currently looking for strong actors/musicians who live locally to Berkshire (Bracknell) aged 16 – 60, for a large scale, community based, promenade production of Alice in Wonderland.

This summer production will take place in the beautiful, atmospheric grounds and amphitheatre within South Hill Park Arts Centre.

This project is to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the amazing story of Alice in Wonderland and will be directed by Kelly Smith and the team who brought you Oh, What a Lovely War! last summer.

This will be a fantastic showcase opportunity for actors local to the area to work with a professional team on a high profile show.

We will be guiding the audience through a series of scenes placed throughout the grounds, forest and amphitheatre. They will be taken on a magical adventure as the actors interact with them to create an immersive theatrical experience.

Follow Alice as she chases the white rabbit down the rabbit hole, and dodge the Queen of Hearts as you play croquet. During the show the audience will become part of the Mad Hatter’s tea party enjoying a picnic in our beautiful grounds during the interval, meet all the colourful characters and enjoy a fusion of storytelling, live music and spectacle.

Rehearsals will take place in the evenings and weekends in July and August and the schedule will be worked around professional commitments. Actors will not be needed every night for rehearsals.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE SOME MATINEE WEEKDAY PERFORMANCES SO PLEASE DO NOT AUDITION IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO COMMIT TO THESE TIMES/DAYS.

Auditions are by appointment, each lasting 15 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your allocated audition time, which will be given to you once you have emailed the contact below, along with a copy of the script extracts you need to prepare for the audition.
