Wilde About Arts is a term-time arts course at South Hill Park, Bracknell, designed for children aged 7-17yrs who have lived experience of being a young carer. These free-to-attend sessions provide a safe, nurturing space where young people can enjoy a break from the responsibilities of everyday life and establish support networks with new friends and peers. Teamwork, togetherness, creativity and expression are at the heart of this class.
The weekly sessions allow students to explore various elements of the visual arts, working together on creative projects like candle and soap making, acrylic paint pouring, plaster casting, kite making, hot glue sculpting and stencil art. Students are encouraged to develop their own creative ideas as well as make suggestions for topics they would like to explore.
