West Forest Sinfonia Chamber Concert

A concert of chamber music performed by members of West Forest Sinfonia. Previous concerts have featured string ensembles, wind groups and instrumental soloists.

West Forest Sinfonia has given concerts in Berkshire and the surrounding area since 1987. Under the baton of Philip Ellis, they put on four orchestral concerts each year and three concerts of chamber music in South Hill Park. The orchestra also regularly accompanies local choral societies.

This concert will be given by the Elmfield Trio (Clare Thompson, violin, Josh Salter, cello, and Sarah Down, piano) and the programme will be:
Bloch – 3 Nocturnes
Beethoven – Trio 5 op 70 nr 1 “Ghost Trio”
Rachmaninov – Trio Élégiaque in G minor (1892)
Martinū – Bergerettes
