Ballet Pointe

Please note this is a 10 week course with a two-week half term, meaning no sessions on Tue 22 & Tue 29 Oct.

This course is open to students who have booked onto the Ballet Intermediate/Advanced course. Prospective students must have a level of either intermediate or advanced cassical ballet in either RAD, ISTD, Cecchetti or BBO.

Students will be introduced to the history of Pointe work and will work towards learning a Solo from one of the classical ballets, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty or Cinderella. Under the guidance of Carol Ainsworth, students will learn how to care and prepare their toes and Pointe shoes, and how to look after them.

You will need to bring your own pair of Pointe shoes.
