With more than 20 years professional dance experience, Hannah has worked in a wide range of genres including Contemporary, Swing dance, Ballet, Jazz and Musical Theatre to name a few. Hannah’s decades long passion for movement inspires young people to be involved in dance and to excel; she founded Zambesi Dance Company in 2010 and has since seen many young dancers accepted to train at Trinity Laban, Rambert and Laine Theatre Arts; raised thousands of pounds for charity, performed twice at the O2 and worked as a consultant with Stopgap Dance Company. Hannah has an open and enquiring mind, embracing the art in all its forms, choreographing original work celebrating all abilities and ages in a variety of performance settings.
In 2012 Hannah’s love of all things Swing ignited when she invited Strictly Come Dancing’s Charleston specialist Jenny Thomas to run a workshop with Zambesi Dance Company. Since then, Hannah has honed her knowledge of authentic Jazz Dance, Lindy Hop, Swing and Charleston, training first-hand with Jenny and choreographing several Lindy Hop numbers. In 2022 she was delighted to be invited by Jenny to launch the Jenny Thomas Jazzettes Camberley, and is continuing her training in this genre, teaching Jenny’s infectious choreography.
