Maya describes herself as a Belarusian pianist of Tater origin. Her successful career has already won her prizes and accolades all over the world. Her concert programme shows her eclectic taste in great music with works by Bach, Rachmaninov (2nd Sonata), Debussy, Ravel and Silvestrov (3 pieces from Kitsch Music).
The Conservatoire International Concerts are now in their 12th season. They were founded to offer a platform to young musicians emerging from the UK’s international conservatoires. They now play to full houses in the Recital Room to an enthusiastic audience. The programmes are made up of music from the Baroque to the present day. They are unashamedly classical in their outlook and fill a gap in our cultural life. This coming season sees the return of old friends as well as new young musicians who have requested a date in our concerts which have an enviable reputation for excellence and enjoyment.
