The Comedy Cellar

Bringing you the best live comedy for over 30 years!

Our regular Friday comedy night. This is a very popular event and often a sell-out, so booking early is recommended.

Unreserved seating: Please note the Cellar is a small and intimate venue so groups may not always be able to sit together. This event is first come, first served.

Queuing starts at 7.30pm, doors open at 8pm and the show begins at 8.30pm.

Suitable for 18+ years

Now in its 32nd year, The Comedy Cellar is the longest running Comedy Club in the UK outside of London. Established in October 1986, it is one of the most cherished gigs on the circuit, beloved by audiences and acts alike.

Under the direction of Simon Houlihan of The Comedy Company Ltd, this highly acclaimed club has played host to most of the big names in comedy and continues to showcase the best new and established acts every Friday.

The Cellar was the starting point for many of our top comedians. Previous stars to have graced the stage include Al Murray, Omid Djalili, Eddie Izzard, Greg Davies, Sarah Millican, Andy Parsons, Micky Flanagan, Katherine Ryan, Jack Whitehall and Russell Howard.

Hi
When will it be starting again? Wanting to plan group events in Jan and Feb

Thanks

Reply

Hi Katie. The Comedy Cellar will return after Christmas in January 2019 starting from Friday 11th Jan and continuing on each subsequent Friday until having a break in July and August in the summer.

Reply

You used to list which acts were attending on each date but this now appears to not be the case. Is there a reason for this?

Ade

Dear Ade,
Yes we do list the comedians when you know them. I am at the moment waiting for the programmer to let you know the list of comedians for the new season.

Can you show your performence in Bangladesh

coz i love your shows

Reply

Dear Rohan,
I’m not quite sure I understand your query. The Comedy Cellar is a live performance each Friday evening and is not recorded so unfortunately we would not be able to show the performance in Bangladesh.
