Peter Pan – Summer School 2019

Second star to the right and straight on till morning.

South Hill Park’s popular Summer School is back with yet another amazing original musical: ‘Peter Pan’. If you are aged between 6 and 17 and love to act, sing or dance, we need you to star in our show.

Join us this summer as we fly to Neverland to have the most wonderful adventures, fighting pirates, meeting mermaids and dancing with fairies. Together, we will bring the original musical to life and unleash fun and adventure on The Wilde Theatre Stage.

Grab your chance to star in ‘Peter Pan’ soon as places are selling quickly.

Go on a magical adventure this summer only at South Hill Park!

SUMMER SCHOOL is legendary

Young performers, musicians and technicians come together to perform a full-length, original musical with just 9 days of rehearsal.

Each summer school starts from scratch. We begin with a theme and craft an original script, with unique music and lyrics. This makes Summer School a musical-theatre course unlike any other.

There is a magical feeling in knowing you are the first people to bring this unique material to life.

SUMMER SCHOOL knows no equal

Participants are put through their paces in singing, dance and drama with expert guidance from a professional director, choreographer, composer, musical director and vocal coach.

The course takes place in our very own theatre, The Wilde Theatre, where a team of professional lighting, sound, costume, hair and make-up designers are on stand-by ready to pass on their knowledge and help make the production look gorgeous.

SUMMER SCHOOL is not just about performing

It goes deeper than that. In just two weeks, participants learn to work together as a team, quickly and effectively, while under pressure. They have a huge amount of fun and forge life-long friendships. This is the reason why summer school is a sell-out success year after year.

Hi Chloe and Isabelle hughes are booked on to 2019 Summer schools: they so enjoyed being part of “Jungle Book”
It is their birthdays 29 and 30 Nov and so the course is their birthday presents. Do you know what you are producing?
Also, as soon as you know the ” audition” dates pls let us know so they can get that into the diary.
we all enjoyed Jungle Book. The opening scene was electrifying and the retelling of the story was also excellent. Thank you

Hi Caroline. Very pleased to hear that your granddaughters are booked in the Summer School for 2019 and that you’re all big fans of SHP. That’s lovely to hear. The title of next years show is currently top secret but will be revealed in January – so stay tuned. Rest assured, it’ll be another fun-filled adventure.
As for the auditions – I wasn’t aware there were any for the Summer School. I know the course begins Tue 30 July until Fri 9 Aug but if you would like further information then please feel free to contact Mark Hooper (who leads the course) at mark.hooper@nullsouthhillpark.org.uk
Hopefully mark will be able to answer any other questions!
