Shrek The Musical

Book and Lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire
Music by Jeanine Tesori
Based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture and the book by William Steig

Everyone’s favourite ogre is back this Easter in South Hill Park’s hilarious stage spectacle, based on the Oscar-winning smash hit film and outrageous Broadway musical.

Unlikely hero Shrek, and his wisecracking friend Donkey, lead a cast of fairytale misfits – cast off by tiny terror Lord Farquaad – on an adventure to rescue a feisty princess and find true acceptance.  Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek The Musical is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

Bringing all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage, Shrek The Musical proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears.

With a West End standard musical score, an award-winning creative team and cast of home-grown talent, it’s the must-see show for both adults and children alike this Easter holiday.

Suitable for all ages

Shrek The Musical is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
