hi there, I have not been before, and am an absolute beginner, but woudl love to learn! I’m not able to attend every week, but I understand I can come along on a pay as you go basis. Is that correct? Would the early or late session work best?

Hi Jacqui. The Over 50s Strictly Dance course is for all ranges of ability – so absolute beginners are welcome. You can pay £60.50 for the full term or £6.50 per session – so this way it’s not an issue of you have to miss some of the classes. You can call our Box Office on 01344 484123 to see which class still has spaces but I think you’ll be able to book whichever time suits you best. Hope this helps.

Hi Jacqui, I am a young 81 and i would love to learn to dance. Is there a hope for me? If so would love to book an afternoon course, when is the next term?

Kind regards

Hi Mary. Glad to hear you’ve got dancing fever. This course starts up again on Fri 18 Jan (with a choice of a 1pm or 2pm start) and booking will be available at the start of December. Hope this helps.

Hi, I might like to join this class and am wondering if I could come along one week to sit in for a little while to see if it might be suitable for me, or even do one class this term , ditto. If I do want to join do I have to put my name down for the January course, or can I just come along, as I notice there can be a session-charge as opposed to the whole term. Are the dance movements cumulative , ie is it important to do all the sessions?
thankyou. LF w

Hi Lynda. Thank you for your enquiry. All dance classes offer a ‘try before you buy’ no obligation first session. You can go along to the first class of this course for free and then decide if you’d like to join or not. The Over 50s Strictly Dance course will start up again on Fri 18 Jan (1pm or 2pm start times). It can be quite popular so it would be best to phone Box Office and check if they still have places – it should be available for booking at the end of November. As the course can be paid on a ‘per class’ basis, it’s not vital to attend all sessions – but the tutor Di Ruddick will be able to tell you more about this during that first session. Hope this helps.
