Kick in the Head

Old Herbaceous

A charming one-man play described as ‘Downton Abbey with gardening tips’. Old Herbaceous is the humorous love story of a single-minded, yet gentle, man with a passion for plants.

Written by Alfred Shaughnessy, it is an acute, and sometimes hilarious, observation of relationships between the classes in a simpler age.

One of a series of plays performed outside, as the summer sun sets, in our intimate amphitheatre in the woods. Bring a chair or cushion, a picnic to dig into and a blanket so you can snuggle up under the stars. Dress for the ‘hopefully’ warm weather.

Wet weather contingency
In the event of extreme weather conditions, these productions may be relocated or cancelled. Ticket holders will be contacted.
