Mixed Ability Piano

Juliet Bruce

An hour-long class taught in a group of 4 with 15 minute sessions on the piano per participant. Emphasis on enjoyment.

A class for more advanced adults to explore and enjoy the piano repertoire. Please contact the tutor before enrolling to ensure it is the right level for you.

In your pre-enrolment conversation with Juliet you will discuss music to bring with you to the session.

Juliet Bruce has been associated with South Hill Park almost since its inception as an Arts Centre, performing in the early days, fund-raising for new pianos and their upkeep and starting the Piano Classes in the late 1970s. They have evolved over the years but they fulfil the same purpose to this day – to give students of all ages the opportunity to improve their skills in small groups of like-minded people. Alongside performing as soloist in many concert venues, as accompanist and in chamber music from a young age, Juliet has taught piano all her adult life and enjoys it as much as she ever did. She has always entered students into Festivals and has for many years been Chair of the Piano Section of the Woodley Festival of Music and Arts. She feels very fortunate to be involved with so much music making in the area.
