Loucinda is a designer and silversmith, based in the West Berkshire countryside. Using traditional techniques she creates contemporary silverware and jewellery, which is both simple in shape and sensitive in design. Function is a significant part of her work, her ethos is to make pieces that are beautiful to use, as well as look at.
Loucinda has a distinctive style, and has won numerous awards for her designs. She has worked to commission for various clients and exhibited in many well known exhibitions and galleries. Her approach to teaching is relaxed and she adapts each lesson to suit individual needs. Loucinda provides a skills based project during each term and some inspirational briefs should anyone need them. However, she strongly encourages everyone to create their own designs taking them from concept, through development and into a final piece.

Please can you let me know if there is a minimum age – myself and my 15 year old daughter are interested. Thank you
Hi Elaine. The minimum age for the J&S classes is 16. Unfortunately we don’t currently do any courses or workshops in this studio for anyone under that age.
