Drawing and Painting – Improvers

Caroline Crawford

Inspiring sessions with expert tuition, aimed at intermediate students and those wishing to improve their skills. Students will work on set projects covering a variety of subjects and materials.

Please bring paints, paintbrushes and pencils if you have them.

Caroline is a local practising Artist and tutor with over twenty years’ experience, where she teaches regular weekly Drawing & painting classes. This was followed by a second solo show at Emerald Gallery Chalfont St Peter; with a third solo show due just as lockdown struck at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts Maidenhead. The shows are usually accompanied with a presentation and ‘Meet The Artist’ where Caroline talks about the work and answers questions. The shows in 2020 investigated a translation of sound into the visual.

Caroline is one of our regular Tutors at South Hill Park, and delivers regular weekly drawing & painting classes and various levels of ability, both face to face and via zoom. Caroline approaches class projects with enthusiasm and a friendly approach. She says ‘Creating art is a way of finding yourself, whilst losing yourself at the same time’
She also delivers day workshops in at other art venues in Berkshire, as well as ‘Social Arts’ this is a regular workshop that has a focus on older students that often live alone, the oldest member of the group being ninety three years old.

Caroline gained a distinction at Masters level in Fine Art, and exhibits her own work throughout the year in the UK and overseas.
