Hi Alex, I really would like to get to grips with portraiture and using off camera flash. My success rate is really hit and miss. Do you run any workshops/masterclasses which would specifically deal with this? Best regards Gladys PS. Congrats on your recent marriage.

Dear Gladys,
I have passed you query on to Alex who will respond to you as soon as possible.
Many thanks.

Hi will you be putting on the Digital Photography course again?

I do not own an SLR but the Olympus Tough TG-5, this has the ability to shoot in RAW. Would this camera suffice?

I would love to hear more about this course if this is will be put on again?

Many Thanks

Hi Pascal. Thanks for your questions. Yes, the Digital Photography course is on again – starting on Jan 14. Unfortunately I’m not an expert on digital cameras so I’d suggest you contact our Visual Arts Co-ordinator Kate Ratcliffe at and she should be able to guide you through what equipment is suitable for this course. Hope this helps.

Hi there! I have my SLR camera. I have basic knowledge in Photography such as camera’s settings, ISO, White Balance, Exposure. Usually, I use Aperture or Shutter priority modes for taking photos. I would like to improve my knowledge in this field and get new experience using my camera in manual mode. Could you tell me if your Digital Photography course can be useful for me? Thanks a lot!

Hi Ilona. Thanks for your question. It’s sounds like you have quite a bit of experience with photography and I’m unsure if the course would be advanced enough for you. The best thing to do would be to contact our Visual Arts Co-ordinator Emma Joyce at and she will be able to give you some guidance on the suitability of the course to your needs. Hope this helps.

Hi there I am really interested in this course. I would like to know a little more about the tutour and what will be covered.

Hi Kelly. The tutor is Kate Legg and if you email our Visual Arts Co-ordinator Emma Joyce at then she will be able to tell you more about what is covered.
