Access All Areas
Community projects supported by The National Lottery Community Fund
Thu 30 Sept – Thu 2 Dec, every Thu 11am-2pm
South Hill Park, in partnership with Mind and Friends in Need, is introducing a new project called Access All Areas which aims to develop understanding on invisible disabilities and inclusion. Access All Areas was made possible from a successful funding application to The National Lottery Community Fund about developing a project which aims to break the silence on invisible/hidden disabilities, and we are very grateful for their support in this important work.
Access All Areas aims to raise awareness of the lived experience of people with invisible illnesses/disabilities for example; Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis, Epilepsy, HIV, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Severe Depression and Anxiety, as well as the day to day life challenges they face, particularly in accessing public spaces.
We are inviting our community to participate in a series of printmaking sessions led by South Hill Park Artist in Residence Basia Gorska. The participants will create artworks that will culminate to an interactive installation. The art installation will be installed in a space by the Studio Galley, as well as at the Wilde Community Gallery. The participation to the workshops is FREE, but places are limited and booking is essential.
If you are interested to discover more, get involved or would like to book a place please contact email@example.com or book through your peer support group. 10 people per session.
We have also begun filming to provide online workshops you can take part in at home to offer a fantastic creative activity before we welcome you back in our printmaking studios. Keep an eye on our website and social media for updates.
