Crafts women from South Hill Park’s PROCESSIONS centenary banner workshops are joining thousands of people this weekend in various cities across the UK to march in celebration of one hundred years of votes for women. The textile banners were made in artist-led workshops at South Hill Park Arts Centre and will be held high alongside many other craft works created for the occasion.
Below are some of the photos from their workshop sessions.
PROCESSIONS is produced by Artichoke and commissioned by 14-18 NOW, the UK’s arts programme for the First World War centenary, with support from the National Lottery through Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund, and from the Department for Culture Media and Sport.
