Grab your splurge guns – Bugsy’s back!

September 19, 2017

Award-winning Starmaker Theatre Company returns to The Wilde Theatre on Wed 4 Oct with its production of Bugsy Malone, featuring a talented cast of performers aged 15 and under. This promises to be a spectacular production in the true spirit of the original movie – in fact, its musical director played the piano in the audition scene in the film! South Hill Park’s own designers have created an atmospheric set and to complete the speakeasy ambiance a limited number of seats at cabaret tables will be available in the auditorium.

Not quite your standard New York gangster story, Bugsy Malone is unique for being set in a city populated entirely by children, where the hitmen wield splurge guns shooting whipped cream. Set in 1929 it captures the period with dazzling dance routines and snappy dialogue, all topped off with a chaotic splurge-gun battle. It’s a fast-paced, laugh a minute show for all the family.

Starmaker Theatre Company has been bringing West End production values to youth theatre for almost 30 years and this production is no exception. To book your tickets click on this link.South Hill Park Members can claim a £2 discount on ticket prices for the Thursday performance, too.
