Add a touch of historical grandeur to your special day by holding your wedding at South Hill Park Arts Centre, the creative heart of Berkshire.

Our magnificent 18th Century, grade II listed building is located in Bracknell, making it easily accessible from Wokingham, Reading and other surrounding towns and villages.

The buildings’ elegant rooms make the ideal setting for wedding ceremonies and the beautiful restored Italian Gardens provide a spectacular backdrop for those all-important photographs.  If you’re looking for something a bit different, how about indulging in the drama of getting married on our Wilde Theatre stage, and then taking your celebrations into our atmospheric Cellar Bar?  The options for creating an amazing day to remember really are endless.

Here at South Hill Park, we aim to work with you to tailor your special day to your individual needs, accommodating either all or part of the day, whatever your preference. From the ceremony and wedding breakfast to the evening reception, nothing is too much trouble. Our priority from day one is working to make your day perfect and memorable, for many years to come.

Civil Ceremony Costs at South Hill Park

 

We are able to accommodate your whole day  or part of your day here from ceremony to wedding breakfast and into your evening reception, subject to venue availability and your guest numbers.

Our venue is licensed to hold ceremonies. It is your responsibility however to book and pay the wedding registrar directly for your ceremony. Our costs do not include their services.

Our venue costs to hold your Ceremony here are as follows:

Monday – Thursday   £400.00 

Friday    £450.00 

Weekends and Bank Holidays  £555.00

 

Please note these costs are inclusive of VAT @ 20% and include two pre-ceremony meeting rooms – one for the Bride and one for the Groom – for up to one hour prior to your ceremony time.

We can also provide basic white chair covers for your ceremony room and are also able to advise on hiring pianists for your ceremony should you require them, please ask for additional costs for these services with your enquiry.

Whether you decide upon a three course meal package, which now includes speciality, freshly prepared  Indian options or our premium house fork buffet package, you can be sure of the highest standard of food and service. All our menu options have been chosen to ensure they are produced with fresh ingredients prior to your event and sourced locally where possible.

Our menu suggestions are a guide for your convenience, please suggest your own requirements and we will more than happy to advise.

We offer 3 packages to choose from, costs listed are per person and inclusive of VAT at the current rate. Additional children’s menu options and specific dietary requirements are available on request.

The price per head also includes room hire for your meal option and all your function set up requirements.

We can also advise on quotes and suppliers for chair covers and coloured sashes, florists and cake suppliers as well as menu options for children 12yrs and under.

Please find a selection of starters, mains and dessert menus for your event or wedding below.  If you would prefer an additional menu choices we are happy to discuss any options with our Chef to ensure you have the full menu to suit your individual requirements.

Evening Reception

When the speeches are done and your appetites are satisfied, it’s time for the celebrations to really begin! At South Hill Park we can take your wedding from the day into the night with a range of party options.

Whether you love live entertainment or are a pair of disco divas, we can accommodate your needs. Party on in one of our main mansion rooms, creatively reorganised for your evening needs by our attentive staff. Or, why not take your celebrations into our atmospheric Cellar Bar?

Prices will vary according to your requirements but you can discuss this with our wedding planner. We have a list of recommended suppliers and would be happy to recommend DJs or musicians.

Hiring the Cellar Bar

The Cellar Bar is our prime party venue, boasting its own bar area and PA system which can be used to mix sound for live bands. It has its own small stage area
for a live band or Disco.

The costs to hire this venue are as follows:  (Please note, all quoted prices are subject to VAT @ the current rate)

Room hire £380 + VAT

Bar staff  20:00 – 23:00 £70 + VAT

We are able to extend the bar license up to midnight for an additional £70 + VAT

If you wish to supply a live band for your party, additional costs will apply with regard to technical staff to set up, mix your live sound and pack up equipment, costs for this are as follows;

To cover initial set up and sound check then run of live sound throughout the evening and pack up = £140.00 + VAT. This cost does not include additional equipment hire which may apply.

Personal quotes will be given subject to the time of day of your function, amount of guests and your technical and catering requirements.  We are also able to advise regarding DJ/Disco or live band requirements. If you wish to provide your own DJ and Disco equipment, your supplier must provide an in date Public Liability Insurance document at least 2 weeks prior to your function date.

Please note that the Cellar Bar venue has a maximum capacity for 100 guests.
