Replaced Lives

Jan Bastow, Catherine Guy-Murrell, Ros Ingham and Trish Roberts

This exhibition explores the theme of transience. Each artist explores this theme using different perceptions of humanity, communication, replacement and reclamation. The exhibition has been produced by four local artist print-makers who create work in South Hill Park’s print studio. The artists have applied printmaking techniques to paper, textiles, Perspex and ceramics to produce wall based and sculptural work.

Breakfast preview: Saturday 10 March, 10.30-11.30am. All welcome.

I attended the breakfast launch of the Replaced Lives exhibition on Saturday morning and was blown away by the pieces on display.

The pieces on show were so thought provoking and it was very touching to see each artists’ interpretation on this deep and meaningful theme.

We are so lucky to have South Hill Park Arts Centre and theatre and I do hope you continue to support these local artists in the future. They are a valuable addition to this cultural space.

Dear Helen,
Thank you for this lovely feedback, I will pass it on to the programmer.
Kind regards
