M.O.L.E and Summer School

August 15, 2017

Our summer activities have come to an end with the conclusion of our Missed Out’s Learning Experience and South Hill Park’s Summer School. The leaders and children alike have had a blast, and want to share some of their experiences:

M.O.L.E
Mark Hooper, Organiser & Head of Education (South Hill Park)
Yesterday we wrapped up another incredible M.O.L.E week! Thank you to all of the schools that attended, we hope you had lots of fun!
We wish you all a lovely summer and we’ll be returning in September for lots more Missed Out events, watch this space.

Charlotte Sharland, Assistant (M.O.L.E) & Miss Teen Bracknell
This has been an incredible 5 years and Missed Out has taught me so much. It has shaped me as person and definitely helped me to grow. Thank you to every single member, past and present, I have had the pleasure of working with. M.O.L.E. will always be special for me, it has taught so many children and introduced so many to the arts. Thank you Missed Out, I’m sure I’ll see you soon!

It takes team work, togetherness, compassion, focus, commitment and energy to bring something like this together and everyone had heaps of it. They brought the story to life in ways we could never have imagined.
Watching them all sing the finale was very moving: people of all ages standing together as one with pride, passion and unity. A theatrical experience I will treasure forever.
Thank you to the entire summer school team, especially the volunteers and chaperones, without whom, this experience would simply not be possible. Enjoy the rest of your holidays and I hope to see you all again at South Hill Park very soon.

I realised how quickly that amazing experience flew by with amazing people. The whole show came together like a magic spell. But only with the tireless efforts of all people involved. So thank you to all the technicians, and people who helped with costumes, makeup and obviously the chaperones for keeping the peace and the creative team.

An outstanding performance from an immensely talented group of young people. What a pleasure to see a lot of you from year to year and witness your voices and confidence grow!

Find out more about our Missed Out activities, which are targeted at young people and extend throughout the year, and our Easter School 2018, which will be announced shortly!
