Tribute to Liz Brindley
It has been a heartbreakingly sad weekend for all of us here at South Hill Park as we heard the terrible news that our friend, Liz Brindley, had passed away.
Liz was full of life and laughter, and a regular in our community productions, gracing the stage just a few weeks ago in Oliver!
Taken from us all too soon at just 37. Our thoughts are with her family at this time.
Here we share tributes from her good friend Sophie Spencer and our CEO Ron McAllister.
Rest in peace, Liz.
“It’s terrifying. One minute you’re there and the next minute you’re ripped from our lives. I honestly don’t know what to say. My zebra, my plastic leather and love dominatrix, my drunken hen, my crazy little elf, you’ve been too good a friend to me. You’ve brightened my life with your incredible positivity and support through the toughest of times, your insane talent and the unbelievable modesty that came with it. I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do.
Sleep well my partner in crime. May you park your bike and continue space trucking as loud as you can wherever it is you are now. I love you.”
- Sophie Spencer
“I am devastated that Liz Brindley, a dearly loved member of the SHP community company, passed away this weekend, at only 37 years of age. I know I speak for everyone at SHP when I say how shocked and saddened we were to hear this terrible news.
Liz will live on in the memories of all those who loved her and we will never forget her, and her many iconic performances in so many shows at SHP. Our thoughts are with Liz’s family and loved ones.”
