Some great news for our disabled customers

June 02, 2015

We are pleased to announce some great news for our disabled customers. We have just learned the exciting news that the lift up to our Studio Theatre has now been repaired, and from next week a hearing loop will be available in our cinema.

The lift to the Studio Theatre is located near the entrance to the theatre on the second floor of the mansion, outside the Multi Media Room. The lift has a single person capacity, and can accommodate wheelchairs or those who find it difficult climbing stairs.

When booking for a production in the Studio Theatre please inform our Box Office staff if you or someone in your party will be in a wheelchair. This is because all our venues are subject to strict rules on wheelchair numbers to ensure the safety of all our patrons in the unlikely event of a fire or emergency evacuation.

We’re also pleased to announce that from 8 June, 2015 our cinema will be fitted with an audio induction loop. This will allow customers with hearing aids to use the T-setting and receive the film audio clearly whilst free of distracting noise in the environment.

This investment was made possible with funding provided by public donations via the SHP Cinema Appeal, Bracknell Film Society, funding from local Councillors, The Foyle Foundation and Garfield Weston.
